A snowy New Year on the Island

Winter storms on December 27 and 29 dumped nearly two feet of snow (and in some places, at some points, ice) along the coast, making for tough driving conditions, but lots of happy children who had the week off from school to play in it. The winter weather seems to be making up in quantity for what last winter lacked, and 2013 will start off with plenty of white stuff for those who enjoy snow shoeing, snowmobiling, sledding and more.
