I christen thee, Moonbeam
With the Maine Seacoast Mission boat, Sunbeam V, out of the water for retrofit, the organization has acquired a 34-foot wooden Downeast Cruiser and has named it Moonbeam. The mission received help with the name from the students of Isle au Haut, some of whom helped to christen the boat at its recent launch from Billings Diesel & Marine. The ship will serve as a six-month replacement to carry out the non-profit’s mission of providing outreach programs and telemedicine to the outer islands.
