by Jessica Brophy On the morning of Saturday, September 15, around 4:30 a.m., 29-year-old Kimberly Phelan was operating a 2003 Pontiac Aztek on Water Street in Blue Hill when she struck 31-year-old Andrew Ray, according to a Hancock County Sheriff’s Department press release. Ray was transported by Peninsula Ambulance to Blue Hill Memorial Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. Hancock County Sheriff Deputy Robert Morang was assisted at the scene by Chief Deputy Richard Bishop, detective Alan Brown, and Deputies Ed Montague and Jeff McFarland. The sheriff’s department was further assisted at the scene by State Police Trooper Greg Roy, State Police Major Crimes Unit Detective Jay Pelletier, members of Peninsula Ambulance and the Blue Hill Fire Department. The fatal incident remains under investigation. |
