HOME receives funds to repair storm damage
HOME in Orland recently received $10,000 in emergency relief funds from the Emmaus Solidarity fund to repair damages caused by this year’s extreme winter conditions. The severity of the winter and its effect on the poor resonate strongly with the conditions which brought Abbé Pierre to make his historic appeal, establishing the Emmaus Movement, according to a press release from HOME. The charitable orginiaztion asks that everyone keep the needs of others in mind as we emerge from this difficult winter. To learn more about the Emmaus Movement, go to emmaus-international.org.
