Carousel to open in Blue Hill

The New Surry Theatre will present Rogers and Hammerstein’s Carousel at the Blue Hill Town Hall Theater July 17-19, 24-26, 31 and August 1-2 at 7 p.m. and July 27 at 3 p.m.

Carousel follows the unlikely love story of carousel barker Billy Bigelow (Tim Pugliese) and mill worker Julie Jordan (Johannah Blackman) and is peppered with vibrant and real characters, such as Carrie Piperidge (Summit Coleman), Enoch Snow (Greg Holden), Nettie Fowler (Suzanne Eaton), and Mrs. Mullins (Maureen Foye). The show is directed by Rebecca Poole, with musical direction by Beth Kyzer and choreography by Maureen Robinson and Nina Robinson-Poole.

In August, New Surry Theatre will present Samuel Taylor’s Sabrina Fair. A discount is offered to patrons who book and prepay for tickets for both shows at the same time. Call 207-200-4720 to reserve seats or email info@newsurrytheatre.org.
