Noah Baerman to open Vanderkay Concert Series
The Peterson Trio—Jay, right, his daughter Ingrid and son Bjorn—will offer a “century of song” with vocals, guitar and bass when the Vanderkay series continues on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Congregational Church of Blue Hill, Maine.
On Sunday, June 22, at 3 p.m., jazz pianist and composer Noah Baerman will open the Vanderkay Summer Concert Series with a performance at the Blue Hill Congregational Church on Tenney Hill. For sound clips and more information about Baerman, visit his website, noahjazz.com.
Other performances in this year’s concert series include the Peterson Trio on July 12 and Duo Yumeno on September 6. For information, contact the church at 374-2891 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Two of the concerts are fundraisers for the First Congregational Church, and the third is a fundraiser for the church’s Dolly Fisher Fund, which helps those in need living on the Blue Hill Peninsula with heating and fuel assistance, as well as Resonant Motion. (See website: resonantmotion.org—developed by the featured jazz pianist, partly as a result of the tragedies in Newtown, Conn., in 2012).
