Blue Hill Concert Association concludes season with local talent

The Blue Hill Concert Association, bringing winter chamber music concerts to Blue Hill for more than 35 years, concludes its 2014 season on Sunday, March 30, with the return to Blue Hill of violinist Joseph Puglia and pianist and Blue Hill native Erika Allen. The two artists met as students at Kneisel Hall Chamber Music School in Blue Hill and subsequently formed the Acadia Chamber Ensemble in 2007. The duo will perform Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata No. 10 in G major, Op. 96, César Franck’s Sonata in A Major, Anton Webern’s “4 Pieces for Violin and Piano,” Op. 7, and “Road Movies” (1995) by American minimalist composer John Adams.

The concert begins at 3 p.m. at the Congregational Church in Blue Hill. Tickets for the concert may be purchased at the door or online at bluehillconcertassociation.org. For more information visit the website or call 374-5196.
