New release date announced for Future of Our Schools Committee Report
The Future of Our Schools Committee Report will be delivered to the CSD 13 School Board at a special board meeting on Wednesday, December 12, at 5:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Originally, the report was to be presented at the regularly scheduled meeting on December 4, but the logistics of compiling such a comprehensive report resulted in the delay, according to a news release.
The report will outline committee research on various options for the schools and the three options recommended to go to the voters at the end of January. Upon acceptance of the report by the School Board, the entire report will be available online at su76.org, dishs.org and dises.org and at the superintendent’s office. A summary of the report will be available at the superintendent’s office, DISES and DISHS front offices, the Deer Isle and Stonington town offices, the Deer Isle and Stonington libraries. The date for the January vote as well as the three public meetings to be held prior to the vote will be announced soon, according to the release. Questions may be sent to email@example.com.
