Opera House Arts announces 22nd summer season

Opera House Arts will launch its 22nd summer season with a full lineup of live music, dance and theater beginning June 12 with the return of the popular Bud Carter Memorial Scholarship concert, benefiting music education for Deer Isle-Stonington students.

Events will continue through July and August with weekly Live for $5 intergenerational family programs, a concert appearance by Noel Paul Stookey, the 21st annual Deer Isle Jazz Festival, an Evening of Broadway. There will be a dual billing of Shakespeare in Stonington with a community playreading of Othello and a staged production of Desdemona. All shows are currently booked as outdoor performances, with the majority of these at the new Stonington Ball Field stage. Other locations will be announced.
